Industry kitemark success for Millstream Management Services

18th January 2017

Millstream Management Services (MMS), the leading provider of retirement housing management services in the UK, has achieved the EAC Quality of Information Mark for every one of the 134 developments it manages, as listed on HousingCare.org.

The EAC “QI Mark” accreditation is a kitemark to help promote and celebrate all forms of retirement housing. Supported by the Department of Communities and Local Government (DCLG), it ensures that elderly people have access to accurate and detailed information when deciding whether to move home. The special “QI Mark” logo highlights accredited schemes on a growing number of housing providers' websites.

MMS provided the EAC with detailed information about the accommodation, communal facilities, services, lifestyle ethos, and costs for every individual development it has listed, and will be required to renew this information every two years to maintain its “QI Mark” status.

Alex Billeter at EAC said: “Our aim is to ensure that elderly people, their families, carers and advisors, understand the variety of models now available and are able to make well informed choices about which will best meet their housing, support and care needs, and their aspirations. MMS has clearly demonstrated its commitment to these principles by achieving the EAC kitemark across all its listed developments.”

Simon Crewe, Managing Director of MMS, added: “Our philosophy is to put our customers at the heart of everything we do, and we’re always working hard to deliver on that. To have achieved the QI Mark across every one of our listed developments really underlines the effort that goes into providing clear and transparent information for our customers, and it makes me very proud of my team.”
