About the role
We are looking for a Property Assistant to ensure that all ‘Property’ related matters are dealt with in a cohesive, timely and efficient manner. By playing a pivotal role in the property management team you will contribute to ensuring that the property management team provides seamless support to the Area Managers and Lodge Managers.
The role is a technical administration role, working at an operational level. The responsibilities of which may increase in line with the company’s growth.
The role is based at our Head Office and you will be required to accompany the Property Management team to attend MMS site meetings throughout England and Wales to provide administration support.
The hours of work are 9.00am – 5.30pm, Monday to Thursday and 9.00am – 5.00pm on Fridays with one hour for lunch each day. You will however be expected to be flexible in keeping with the responsibilities of the position, which may include working additional unpaid hours at busy times.
The ability to work under pressure in order to meet deadlines is essential.
You must have construction and property management knowledge and demonstrable experience of dealing with property maintenance and technical related issues, which will include dealing with customers and contractors to ensure seamless customer service. Having an understanding of Leasehold management and Section 20 consultations is desirable.
Ideally educated to A level/BTEC standard with a willingness to work towards an Institute of Residential Property Management (IRPM) qualification. Experience of working within the construction industry or similar technical environment with customer service experience would be advantageous.
It is desirable that you are computer literate in Microsoft office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and property management database/software as well as being highly organised with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
You must have excellent administrative and customer service skills with the ability to multi-task, manage and communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
