About the role
We are looking for a Trainee Building Surveyor based at Head Office to undertake external and internal property surveys, to provide reliable and robust stock condition data for the future asset management and maintenance of the MMS property portfolio.
The trainee building surveyor is an operational role and the responsibilities of the post may increase in line with the company’s growth.
The role is based at our Head Office and you will be required to work remotely, attending MMS sites throughout England and Wales to meet the demands of the role so this role qualifies for a company car allowance. You will therefore need a full UK Driving Licence.
The hours of work are 9.00am – 5.30pm, Monday to Thursday and 9.00am – 5.00pm on Fridays. You will however be expected to be flexible in keeping with the responsibilities of the position, which may include working additional unpaid hours at busy times.
You must have construction and property management, Health & Safety, CDM, Building Regulations/Fire Safety knowledge.
You should also be able to demonstrate experience of dealing with property maintenance and technical related issues, which will include dealing with customers and contractors.
Computer literate in all Microsoft office packages including excel, word and PowerPoint, and highly organised with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
